Home calls to us at the end of a long day. Home is comfort and chaos. Being at home can bring a sigh—of contentment, relief, or exasperation. It is where the heart is but, at times, also where the “asar” is. More than shelter, home is witness to myriad experiences and memories. We surround ourselves with our favorite things, our treasures, our junk! After being away, a taste of home is delicious; a glimpse of home is precious. It is where we find the people (and pets!) that mean most to us and, possibly, the (same) people that most annoy us. We can welcome people into our home for company or shut the door if some solitude is in order. We can be ourselves, wear our rattiest clothes, make a mess, and just be “at home.”

At Home was held at the UP Fine Arts Gallery in April 13 to 29, 2023.
Featuring 65 house-shaped art pieces in various digital and traditional media, the exhibit presents a behind-the-scenes look at the home life of Ang INK members. Along with an exhibit, Ang INK held a series of picture book-related talks and a mini-art fair where INKies sold their merch.
