Art and craft demonstrations, installations and more – all these are in store for museum visitors as children’s illustrators group Ang Ilustrador ng Kabataan brings its art fair, INKfest, to Ayala Museum on June 30, 10 am onwards.
Coinciding with the museum’s Free Museum Day, INKfest promises to be a day filled with fun for all ages with a lineup of activities to showcase the craft and creativity of Ang INK member-artists and to connect with the Filipino audience through art, illustration, and storytelling.
This year, INKfest recreates the Ayala Museum’s Diorama Experience, aiming to make history more accessible and engaging for children while fostering a deeper love for our nation and igniting the Filipino spirit through art.
Among the activities lined up for INKfest are: live art by INK artists, storytelling, portrait sessions, life-sized installations, merch-selling, Filipino food booths, photo booths, coloring stations, gold foiling, sticker making; and games for kids and kids at heart.
Earlier this month, Ang INK opened its 2024 annual exhibition, Worlds Within Worlds, at the Ayala museum, featuring over 100 artworks that feature themes of connectedness and shared spaces. The exhibit will be on view until July 28.
