Jovan is a visual artist with several years of experience in illustration, graphic design, art direction, painting, and sculpture. She attended UP Diliman College of Fine Arts and took a major in Visual Communication. She is an active member and currently head of the Activities Committee of Ang Ilustrador ng Kabataan (Ang InK).
